Jimmy Lousich is a unique furniture design company creating beautifully hand crafted pieces of functional art for the home. Each piece is individually produced to order, offering a bespoke service for private individuals and interior designers.

Jimmy Lousich offers a variety of design approaches. Completely bespoke pieces, hand finished to the customers specifications, or a choice of one off pieces individually created by designer James Rogers from a series of pre designed frames, offering an “off the peg” service. Frames are sourced from the Internationally acclaimed Angelo Cappellinni company of Milan who have been manufacturing luxury furniture for over 150 years. Jimmy Lousich also produces re invented furniture using sourced antique pieces chosen by designer James Rogers or provided by the client.

The gallery shows examples of past projects. Some were specifically designed for individual clients, whilst others are from the “off the peg” range. Most pieces can be re produced, but due to their hand made nature, no two pieces are ever the same. This ensures that the client can be confident their piece is truly a one off and made for them.

The company, Jimmy Lousich was founded by designer James Rogers in 2010. Rogers, Having worked as a costumier for the film and television industry for 10 years, on projects such as “Troy”, “ Lion the Witch and the wardrobe” & “The Hobbit” , began designing furniture as a way of showcasing leatherwork techniques developed during his career as a costumier.

This began a love affair with furniture design that focused on the objects being works of art as well as functional pieces of furniture.

Originally from the UK, Rogers has lived and worked in several countries and cities around the world from New York to Marrakech, Fiji to Auckland NZ, which he now calls home. This has influenced his design aesthetic which showcases a fusion of decadent, quirky and colourful pieces imbued with a traditional and nostalgic edge. This fusion of styles creates a distinctive look that is relevant to a 21st century design aesthetic that is exciting and eclectic.

In 2012 Jimmy Lousich teamed up with Sarsfield Brooke, New Zealands pre eminent wholesalers of Luxury furniture. Works by Jimmy lousich can now be viewed and purchased from their showroom in Parnell, Auckland.
